95 F150 Rear Bumper Bracket Removal
I need to pull the rear bumper WITH the brackets on my 95 F150. It looks like there are 4 bolts (2 each side) holding the bumper assembly to the frame. The bolts towards the back of the truck appear to be regular bolts and nuts. The ones towards the front APPEAR to be bolts with nuts welded to the frame. Is this correct? I don't see anyway to get a wrench/socket on the nut since it butts up against the mount. Everything is pretty rusty (been soaking in PBlaster) and I don't want to start wrenching on anything until I know if the bolt is/is not welded to the frame.
Any advice is appreciated. thanks

That does sound about right. But remember that if you use an impact they may break off. It depends on how rusted they are so be careful. If you are not sure about it just grind them off an put regular nuts on them. Try to take the bumper off the mounts before you do though. Will make it easier to get to the welded nuts. Should be fine. They are just hold downs. Just make sure they are grade 8 and you use loc washers with some loc tite. Work just the same. Good luck.

The bolt towards the front of the truck has a nut pressed into the frame or a "weld nut" it is not supposed to come loose from the frame. The bolt towards the rear of the truck is a nut & bolt assy. Loosen the front bolts first run them out then back in loosly. Remove the rear nut & bolt assy and let the bumper hang down from the front bolts. Support bumper & remove bolts. Reverse to install. Oh and unplug lisence plate lights and disconect trailer harness if any, first.
