What's the sensor at passenger side block ...

97 4.2 V6

What is the sensor that's right next to the sheet metal plug on the passenger side block? Can it be the temperature sensor? It's 'equivalent' location on the driver's side block has the coolant drain plug.

I think so. but the newer 4.2's dont use that hole, I think its just a 97-98 item. the newer 4.2's has that hole as well.
