Also Borla makes a nice sounding Cat back, but not worth the price IMO for some sound effects..lol
I've had the Flowmaster 50 on 2 vehicles with no problems. No drone. And no rust. But I live in a dry climate.

I'm thinking I'll go with maggie's stainless steel SIDO cat back, routed out under rear bumper. I'm planning to install it on a 2010 F150 SCAB, 5.4L with 6.5' bed. Not sure just yet if they offer different sounding mufflers for this configuration. I'm still researching and price options are important.

I had flowmaster on my 2008 and it drove me nuts, and rotted out fast.
I'm thinking you must have had the Flowmaster 40 if you got allot of drone. You won't have it with the 50.

If the muffler rusted out in a short time, it's because the installer did not put it in right so the little drain hole could allow the condensation to drip out of the muffler. Or the hole got plugged with mud.

I have worked in an exhaust shop for the last 8 years and feel magnaflow isbetter-no drone in cab, stainless steel body with lifetime warranty (flowmaster does not) and a more mellow sound. i have seen flowmasters rust out in 2 1/2 years
