Radio Antennas for 48-50. Lets see what you used and where

Hey guys,
Who all has put an antenna in their 48-50. I know there are options of original cowl location, frenching it in the former gas tank filler hole or grounding it to the body. Let's see what you all chose for your ride. Thanks in advance.

I'm considering one of the hidden antenna's. Haven't heard anything about them either way, but it looks like a problem solver. Perhaps someone can tell us how they work and where they mounted it.

Here is where the PO had it... mounted just above the f-1 emblem. PO spray primered everything...

This is not where it is going to stay for too long... I will either do a hidden one or french in gas filler when I move the tank under bed..

Hidden gets my vote

When I get the tune box; it will likely have remote mount function and use hidden antenna

We've got a local guy that has an F1 with his antenna frenched in at the same location as the one I put in my F100. I don't know if it's funtional because it's usually only sticking up about 4-6". His truck is black with a ton of modifications including a chopped top. I'll check to see if I have a photo of it.

i have used the hidden ones on several harleys up in the batwing fairing. They work ok. i found one on ebay that is a ribbon style, there is sticky on one side and you could put it up high in the dash and it works well (kinda like a piece of tape). Its what i have used before and plan on using on mine to get rid of the one above the F1 emblem when the time comes. I personally don't care for the powered hidden antennas. Allot more $ and don't work a bit getter and usually worse.
