Reminds me of the joke about the kid who's parents thought he was mute.

The kid hadn't spoken for his entire life. One evening at supper when he was 14 years old he pipes up and says "Would someone please pass me the butter?" Of course, his parents are astonished to hear him speak, particularly so because he spoke perfectly. Mom asks "Why have you waited until right now to speak?" To which he replied "Up until right now, everything has been OK".

Maybe everything has been OK for this cat since '05

What kind of bolts, washers should I use to install my tool box in the back of my truck? do I have to drill holes?
The more urgent question is, why the heck would this guy need a tool box?

Heres my issue I have a 2000 V10 Excursion Ive just replaced the Motor I picked up a Low mileage 77k V10 from a local Wrecking yard.
Ive Devloped a massive vibration/humming noise @ 75-80 mph and anything after 4k RPMS. Im thinking Fan clutch or harmonic balancer.

Next issue, My rear driveshaft to pinion Bolts keep backing out, Possibly due to the vibration? Had my driveshaft checked and its true and the U joints are in good shape.

Next pinging.. Had slight pinging while towing with the old motor..totaly normal.. With this new motor its bad when im driving but sounds like the motor is gonna send the valves through the hood when im towing... 26Ft warrior toy hauler with a Buggy inside probaly bout 10k when loaded..

Any help whould be greatly Appreciated Im at Witts end with this thing.. Ive done all the obious stuff for the pinging, Air,fuel filters ect..

No skin on the hands and still no solution! Or just keep it under 4000 rpm..

Yea, I'd sure get under my truck while the wife revved to to four grand.

Ummm, my 7.3 red-lines at 3300. In spite of a rev-limiter, I don't want to be that close to the pan at that kind of RPM!

A Darwin Award candidate, maybe?
