Thanks for all the opinions guys... we are definatly looking F350 4x4 and most likely crew cab. I know they are hellishly long and take forever to heat up, but dad is going to help me buy the next rig so we can get something decent and he definatly wants 4 doors so the grand kids will be easy to take along. Mom isn't really picky on the truck itself but she wouldn't ride in one of my old beaters if she had the choice... So the truck needs to be in good condition inside and out. So it's just down to which motor and how old we go... I do like that PSD and am thinking about going to take a look at it myself...

If I go to look at an older IDI or a newer PSD what should the compression be running on a good motor? I don't really want a rebuild or excessive blow by on my hands...

 

I have a 7.3 idi and i want to put a turbo on it is this possible with a 5 thousand dollar budget? Installed

5 grand?.. you can do alot with a budget like that, especially if you have some fab skills.

But rather than ressurect this old thread, start a new that is focused on what you would like to accomplish with your truck, and we can tell you how / what you need.
