97 cc drw 4x4?

How hard would it be to buy a two wheel drive cc drw 5spd truck and make it into a 4x4 with 84" cab to axel length?

My truck is a single cab 5spd 4x4 84" cab to axel.

I am not sure what parts I would be able to reuse or if I would be better off buying a 2001 cab chassis with to my needs. I really like the 97....

you just need the axle, trans and t-case.
you'd probably have to get drive shafts made unless you can find them.

Well, you'd have to get the rear drive shaft made, which it would be a 2 piece.

IIRC the DRW trucks that were 4wheel drive were dealer options, not factory.

The DRW 4x4's were chassis cabs only. SRW did come with a 4x4. So, you'd definitely have to get the driveshaft length adjusted. As Tayln said, you'd need the axle, transfer case and tranny, but you'd also need the springs, mounts, shock mounts, and panhard (stabilizer) bar as they're all different front the 2wd. Boxing in the front part of the frame rail is also necessary to mount the front shackle. You could use a RSK kit from sky manufacturing. It'll help the ride some.
