I like this old truck

It's ridiculous cold out. Cabin fever. Just browsing. I like this old truck. NO connection whatsoever for me. I just appreciate a very good, and seemingly honest, description. And it looks like it's going to pay off for the guy. Looks like somebody dropped an 8BA in it somewhere along the line (original 6 I'm guessing based on battery location and VIN number).

It's a nice old truck, I don't think I'd pay that much for an F-2 that wasn't running. But body-wise, I 'd be happy to drive it as-is.

It has a car engine in it. I wish my 51 body was that straight!

Okay educate me. I agree with you with regards to the oil bath breather. On the other hand, it looks like it's got the wider belts which were last used in cars in 49 (I think). Or are you referring to the "8BA"? I'm just curious.

That guy got 3800 for it. Not too shabby.

Looks like a truck engine, but there is little difference. Good eye on the engine transplant, Doc, I'm sure you are right about it being a 6'er originally.

That's a pretty honest looking truck.

I agree. But unfortunately, the highest bidder was apparently dishonest. And ebay won't do anything to help the seller I imagine (except collect another fee when he "sells" it again).

It's kharma, Doc, you just gotta jump on it this time! Then you'll have red, black, and white trucks, just need blue and green ones to round out the stable!

Actually I think eBay won't charge for the non-sale; depends what excuse the "winner" used to weasel out of it.
