Steering Column Issues

The shift selector arm is broke or a pin is loose? Not allowing me to turn the ignition. Sometimes I can move the lever and get the key to turn....how do I fix this issue?

l don't have a pic handy but look under the dash and wiggle the shifter, you'll probably notice a couple bolts loose up there. Have a light under with you

These shouldn't have any affect on the ignition though

But unlike a 5-speed, there's some link between the shifter and the ignition lock. Evidently that's what's hosed.

Nice! My column shift has been starting to get loose. I figured I'd have to rebuild the column. This is a great & timely thread.

Thanks guys !!!!!
