my 95 psd blows nu# 18 fuse under hood when key is turned on what does nu#18 fuse run? unhooked every thing under hood still blows,if i disconnect the pcm it will not blow. help!!!

 

You sure it's not #19?

Sounds like the fuel bowl heater. If it shorts out it wont' start and will blow the fuse. To get to it you have to pull out the fuel filter, unscrew the center post (LH thread so turn clockwise to loosen) and on the bottom you'll see the metal disc lookiing thing. That's the fuel heater, you can unplug it at the bottom inside.

You can run without one without any problems, or get a new one and replace it.

 

i have unhooked every thing under hood still blows nu#18 fuse if i unplug pcu i can turn key on without blowing fuse.fuel filter out ,wire harness unpluged .

 

Probably just need to start tracing wires and look for a short...

 

For the 97 it shows trailer battery relay. 19 is for the headlights and such.

 

And for the fuel heather is the # 22.
