Inputs on new tires on OEM Rims

I am looking for input on what people think the best tires would be for my '02 PSD. I have 265/75/16's and i'm going to keep that size. Load E. I am leaning towards the Firestone Transforce AT's or Cooper Discover ATR's.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Michelin M/S e range on my 04 4x4 6.0 Just loving them. Keep the rear at at 65 psi and the front at 60 and it will ride and drive nice. If you blow up the tires to 70 psi. it's all over the road.

I had a 2002 Explorer Limited v6 4x4 before getting my 2004 Excursion Limited v10 4x4. The Explorer called for 30psi front 35psi rear. One time I rotated the tires and forgot to adjust the air pressure... WOW I must have looked like I was drunk. It refused to stay straight at 65mph on the highway. Amazing how much of a difference 5psi can make!

My truck came with the Transforce ATs in stock size and I was not pleased. It had significant wander on various roads and had extremely poor traction off-road. I couldn't get them off quick enough. If you plan to tow - make sure you have the correct load rating and are at the correct air pressure. The tires have to be at max pressure on the sidewall in order to obtain the load rating the tires are rated for.

I have had such good luck with the BFG Rugged Trail Load E's that I keep on buying them for all my trucks! The Ex handles well and I average around 80K miles per set.

I sell tires, wholesale now, but retail for passed 15 years. As Chazman likes the michelin M/S e rated tires, michelin released the new revised tires Michelin LTX M/S2 comes iwth a 70k mile warranty as well. best tire on the market hands down. if you plan on keeping the truck, thats what i would recommened. if your looking for all terrains, BFG's all the way!

You might want to check out the Definity tires at Pep Boys, they're made by Cooper and with the Road Hazard warrantee you are well protected.
You have a choice of standard highway tires to a respected off road tire to choose from. I'm going with the Definity Dakotas myself. Buy 3 and get 1 free and good prices too.

Toyo Open Country AT's.

I'm on my second set for my Ex and when I finally wore out the POS Uniroyals that were on my F250 when I bought it late in '08, I put a set on my F250.
