Instructions for installing Front and Rear main seal?

I am surprised I have not gotten any instructions or tips. People on this site have done it and usually share their experience. I followed npccpartsman advice. The reply was they have the tool and that's how they install the seal. I did a search for the seal tools, cannot find any. Was looking to see if anyone had anything to add. I am going to be installing the seals tomorrow. Still looking for any help. Thanks!

On the rare occasions that I've had to install either seal, I can honestly say that I can't personally see a way to properly install them without using the proper tools mentioned above. If you try to drive the seals in using a generic driver with a hammer, you risk doing damage to the new seals.

Just to follow up: I installed the front and rear main seals today without the the ford seal tools. I put the front main seal wear ring on the crank with a piece of 2x4 and a hammer. I added high tensile strength (red) locktite to help seal the ring. I also used the 2x4 to put the seal inside the front cover and bolted it onto the engine. On the rear, I put the seal into the rear engine cover with a 2x4 and bolted it onto the engine. I then pushed the rear main seal wear ring onto the crank with the adapter plate that bolts on to the crank underneath the ring gear. The rear main seal comes with a black plastic spacer tool that helps seat the rear main seal wear ring flush with the rear engine cover. I think you can install these seals without the proper tools just take your time and make sure the seals are going on straight. The engine is back in the truck with the torque converter, bell housing and engine mount bolts torqued. Tomorrow, I start bolting everything back to the engine.
