I am having difficulty believing that my LPOP is completley sealed. It seems oil could just dump out of around the crankshaft bolt??? I bought this part and a new HPOP. The HPOP came with a seal installed on the face of it, and a O-ring. I purchased this part from Ford not really knowing where it goes

Please see photo. Does anyone have a good step by step instruction installing this seal? and Balancer?? It may seem silly to you, but I just don't see how this seals very well.....

 

actually, It seems that It may already be installed on the LPOP? what about the ring, do I need to replace the ring on the balancer? Also, I see that I have a extra O-Ring laying around that seems to fit the end of the balancer

? Does this go on the balancer on the back? Where it comes into contact with the crank shaft?

That O ring is for your turbo to spider seal.

 

wow, impressed you knew that.. are these things color coated for locations? If so where can I get that diagram!...

 

After removing my spider a couple of times you get it memorized lol....
