Oil pressure gauge is really an idiot light?

Thumbs up FIX No oil pressure

Will guys the oil mistery is fixed I bought this truck with 123K on it. any way the oil tube to the pump was field with gunk no oil was flowing. change the pump just incase put 10w 30 "the good stuff" and it runs just fine. Thanks everone

Note for those newly reasearching this "better idea" : The oil pressure "switch" wiring that feeds they guage routes through the fuel sender "slosh box" on newew models (such as my 2002) which moderates fuel system fluctuations. Probably has some effect on the oil sender as well.

Does anyone know where the oil pressure sending unit is on a 1990 ford bronco 2?
