New parts

Nothing says "welcome home" like a new dash pad waiting on the porch in a Dennis Carpenter box.

And a true "gear head" would open the box before kissing his wife "hello".

All done. Took about three hours, not too bad. Cleaning the metal dash of 50 years of spilled coffee and old toothpicks took the most time.

Nice looking dash pad.

That's a major eye sore on my truck, since my dash pad is severely cracked --mine must have spent a lot of time in direct sunlight in its previous life.

How many dead presidents did it set you back to get it delivered to your house?

It was 400.00 plus 15.00 shipping from Dennis Carpenter. At least it was already black and I don't have to dye it a different color. It's a lot of money but when you have practically rebuilt the truck over the last year it's hard to look at that nasty dash. I've spent more money on the interior than the engine which I had to completely rebuild.

The price of the dash pad isn't a shocker, since that's about what I'd seen when shopping around for one. At least the shipping was low and not outrageously priced for an over-sized object.
