i run 3 sets of cooper discover M&S studded they are amazing snow tires and will not dissapoint. bridgestone blizzaks are also a amazing snow/ice tire. either will keep you stuck to the ground like no nother. another which i have not tryed studded but i did get a chance to run some hancook winter I-pike and they are also a very good snow/ice tire.

i'm a cooper fanboy though, i run the M&S studded in winter on my trucks and a range of different coopers on them in the summer.

you will not regret it!

I have no experience with studded tires so I cannot comment there.

Everyone that I've known to run Bridgestone Blizzaks has been more than pleased with the winter performance.

Discoverer M+S are great. I've used them for everything they'll fit on for years. I've never used them with studs though. I'd maybe consider studs if it were a 2WD only as they could provide additional traction from a stop.

I run Firestone Winterforce ( studs not legal in Ontario) ...best bang of the buck here....$40 cheaper per tire and good rating

You won't be disappointed with the Cooper M+S, they are the best tire out there in terms of snow and ice traction.

I have a full set of Blizzak DMV-1 and they are great.
And SliderF150 studded tires are legal in Ontario. The law was changed a couple of years ago.
