Need help- Where can I buy a FICM?

Well, I thru in the towel with my no start problem. I called a buddy for some help. He used to own a Repair shop. and contacted a friend that knows and works on International engines and kinows about the dreaded problems with the 6.0L. We talked and he stop by to diagnose my truck issues with his computer and other equipment. I have a bad FICM that is causing some wierd noises with the injectors. I have good power to it at 12.3vdc and power coming outof my FICM at 47.3vdc. Just not performing a good self test to the injectors. Some of them aren't getting enough voltage to do anything while the truck is cranking. The ICP is good and the HPOP and all other parts are in good and getting all the required voltages/pressures. It is great when you have the right tools to diagnose problems. I wish I had called him earlier. Did a great job. I learned alot. Does anyone know where I can get a FICM except from the Ford Dealer? It will have to be reporgrammed after I get one correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try getting a used one at a salvage yard. Thats what I did about 9 months ago. So far so good. The one I got had a sticker on it saying it had been rebuilt by International a few months before I got it. Paid around 400 for it. I didn't have to get it reprogrammed either.

Swamps diesel is the first place I'd try, but don't try to resolder it yourself if you're going to send it to them. Partsguyed if you want a "new" one.

Thanks I appreciate the information. I did do the reflow soldier already. it seems to run great for a day, but then didn't want to start the very next morning. At that time when I pulled it, it only had one screw barely installed and one nut holding it on with no shock mounts installed. The Ford dealer here in FWB was the last to work on the truck before I bought it. They won't warrant any work they performed less than 1600 miles since it was in their dealership. I am not the original owner that brought it in. What a bunch of CRAP!!! I was a Toyota loyal, may go back to them... I had a great F150FX4 that I sold to buy this!!! Mistake!!! I needed something stronger to tow my toys, and this wasw definitely not a good choice for the past 3 months I have had it. I have had to rebuild the tranny 3 days after I bought it due to a leak in the radiator that contaminated the tranny. A new starter selonoid.. A new alternator... Now a new FICM.. I should have done more research and not listen to friends that have the same truck but not as many problems.......

I've got one coming from e-bay. Paid 430 bucks for it, and it's programmed. Time will tell if I got screwed or not. Never even thought about swamps or partsguy. Crap.

I just had to replace the one on my 05. I ordered it from Northern Auto Parts in Iowa. $330 for a reman unit, preprogrammed, with a $200 core charge for the old one. Put it on last week, tested it, and it had 55 volts output, like swamps. Couldn't beat the price and they have them in stock.
