What are milling bits and lathe cutters worth?
I didn't know of where to put this other than here but I was wanting some info from here in TN. I am trying to help a lady trying to sell some of her dads old stuff. He built airplanes and there is sone nice stuff and some junk, mostly junk so to speak. He had a machinists tool box I would love to have along with some of the tools in it. Also in the tool box there were a lot of the bits used in milling machines to mill down metal. These are the bits similar to drill bits but made for a milling machine. There also is a lot of the cutting heads you put in a lathe to cut metal. The metal thats square and 2-4 inches long For the most part they all seem to be in good shape. The lathe cutters look to be the size to put in a larger desktop lathe or one that has a built in stand. I just got a older sears desktop lathe and they wouldn't fit it. They are maybe 1/2 wide or larger I am guessing. The milling bits are 3-6 inches long and look to be inserted in a holder that woulds accept a cutter the circumfrence of a dime or quarter. So could anyone give a guess of what they should sale for. Mainly what I was thinking of is if for example if there is 100 of the lathe cutters and 100 milling bits what would a good starting point ot advertise for? If there are 200 pieces total would 200,400,1000 or a low of 50 bucks be a good price to sell them? I have no idea of what to price them. I am thinking of putting them on craigslist for a price. Along with a price to start what would be the least they should sale for?
Along with that there is a couple of buckets of the airplane fasteners, clovis, clevis or something like that. The pieces you drill a hole in two pieces of metal then use a tool to put this thing in and it claps it so you can weld the pieces together. As far as these pieces what would be a good starting range each? 50 cents a buck? There is also a couple of work benches. one is from home depot looks like, it looks like one they used in the store since it is stamped with home depot on it. Another is a decent one homemade out of angle iron. It could have held a lathe or something. What would be a good price on a bench? 25 bucks,50 bucks? I was thinking maybe 50. Anyway I am trying to help her out but these two things I don't know how to price. I was thinking maybe a buck a piece on the lathe and milling bits and sell them all in one lump sum and the fasteners maybe 50 cents?
Anyway anyone care to give a guess of a starting point? I am hoping to get some of the old tools and tool boxes. But there is not much in the way of tools worth much there. I bot a box for 20 bucks of about hand tools hoping to get some to use. About half were rusted up. I can get them loosened up though I think. I based that on the price of similar tools I see at yard sales for a buck a piece. Anyway any suggestions?

They're called a "cleco", and they run a little under a buck apiece new for the 1/8" size. Handy little gizmos for riveting sheet metal...

Here is a picture of them below, They are rusted but work. Most of the rust seems to be surface rust. They work good. The one thing I am wondering about is the bits and cutters. I would like to help this lady out but the more I dig the less I find the stuff is worth. There is some other stuff as well. Does anyone know a good estimate of the bits worth?

Here below is a picture of the cutters and of the clamps. There are roughly 150 of the cutters, reamers and other stuff. Some may be new. As far as the clamps if I remember correctly there are about 250 roughly of the straight ones and about 100 of the offset ones. The total is somewhere around 350 if I remember correctly and it has 3 of the tools. If you know of someone interested send them my way. I would like to sell these asap to get them out of my way and get her some Christmas money.
And the clamps

Good news on the bits, I sold them. I still have the fasteners. Anyway I have sold quite a bit for her. I bought some tools that were rusted up and sold some other stuff. I bought about 30 bucks of stuff for her before Thanksgiving and that gave her enough gas money to go see her family. She had saved up some but not enough. There s nothing like helping someone out. Anyway thanks for the replys.
