anybody have a suggestion for a decent long-tube header that will work on this application? I need something with a thick flange and good construction.

i did this swap to my 73 f100!!i took the complete hardness of a 95 f150 and put it on my truck.also used the gas tank of a 95.it mounts the same!!here are some pics

pretty cool! Did you also go with a 4r70w? What about manifolds, did you stick with the stock ones or did you use headers?

ihave the e4od tranny and i ford racing shorties headers.but you can get longtubes from summit for $100.

since I haven't seen the 4r70w in person, I wasn't sure if there would be clearance issues with long tubes (they are what I would rather use anyway)

i think long tubes will work also!may have to relocate the collector angle.I got the shorties cause they were cheap!!

Fuel injection 73. What did you have to do to use the factory wiring harness. Do you have pics of that. How did you tie them in together. I have all that off of a 94 F150.
