Hey guys,
I have reached the step of my engine and tranny swap of installing a new summit carb and intake to my 351w and AOD Transmission. As many of you know, hooking an AOD transmission to an aftermarket carb requires a Lokar TV cable, Lokar carb bracket, and Lokar throttle cable. Everything is a go, except the throttle cable. It's designed to run through the firewall to a Lokar gas pedal.... but i dont have the money to buy a $150 gas pedal. My truck has the throttle arm that comes up right behind the intake manifold. Has anyone made the stock gas pedal work with a Lokar throttle cable? What kind of mods am I looking at, if any? Thanks for any suggestions!
