64 2WD Front End Leaf Springs
#1
Leaf springs were delivered today. On this truck, the rear bushings (of the front springs) are about twice the size as "regular" sized bushings used in the front of the spring. The new leaf springs have "regular" size spring eyes at both ends.
Did they send the wrong ones, did I order the wrong ones, or can they be made to work and are OK? Don't see why they shouldn't work OK, I guess, though Ford used the larger bushings in the rear part for a reason.

Hm. Just eyeballin' things, it looks like it should be OK. The vendor said that no bushings were included, but they are - so have a few extra parts that aren't needed.
Looking forward to these springs installed. All four originals are about as flat as a pancake so anything will be a big improvement. Have the front shackles and U-bolts, and new shocks.

These are stock height springs, though you can order whatever ya want. I bet the FedEx people hate me. The front springs aren't too bad, but the rears are pretty stout!
The rear shocks are back ordered, and they subbed in a pair of KYB Gas-A-Just for the front. Have a pair of Monroe to use for now for the rears.
