2017 Ford GT Spied Around Detroit
Suffice it to say, the new Ford GT since its debut, has become the darling of the media. No one, no publication can get enough of the new Blue Oval supercar. And that’s quite frankly understandable.
It not only features a carbon fiber chassis and body, but also a rumored 700 horsepower twin-turbocharged EcoBoost, and a Formula 1 style steering wheel. Oh yeah, and flying buttresses that hide the intake tubes that go from the side of the car to the engine.
It’s a piece of engineering brilliance, and we have to wait quite some time till the new $400,000 supercar is out. Like a year, which in terms of auto journalist times, is more like 15,000 years. So much can happen between now and then.
But to wet your whistles, as well as our own, a few spy photographers caught the new supercar mule running around Detroit in its barest carbon form. It’s strikingly beautiful in this guise, and we just hope it’s an option.
But what do you all think, is Ford missing the beat with that high of a price tag? Or will it sell out almost immediately?
