South of the Border Fords?
The Ford Motor company has over 11,000 employees in Mexico and has been operating there for 90 years.
The Fiesta, Fusion and Lincoln MKZ are currently manufactured in Mexico and the locals love their Fords too. You can see them everywhere around Tijuana, from Mustangs to modern F-150s or Lobos.
This year, Ford is investing $2.5 billion in new engine and transmission plants in Chihuahua and Guanajuato, Mexico.
Last week, Presidential long shot Donald Trump announced that we should tax Ford vehicles made in Mexico. Do you think that’s fair? Should Fords continue to be made south (and north) of the border or only in the United States?
