Roush F150 Project Truck – The Roush Difference

I fondly remember driving the 2004 F-150 at the press ride and drive before it was in full production. The truck received stares and universal approval as we cruised through the Texas countryside, stopping for meals and drinks (non-alcoholic of course!) along the way. The truck was a real head turner. Well, with 2 years of production under its belt the current F-150 has become commonplace.

Enter the Roush F-150:

The Roush F-150 takes the F-150 to a whole new level. Everywhere I take this truck people turn to get a better look. Drive-through attendants chat with you about it, strangers ask how I like it and best of all, my son thinks I’m driving a race truck!

The current F-150’s handling and suspension leap-frogged over the 1997-2003 model. The Roush F-150 takes it even further by lowering the truck 2-inches in the front and 3-inches in the rear with replacement coil and leaf springs; and new shocks, plus a beefier sway bar. The end result is a pickup that handles surprisingly well, corners predictably and snaps tightly without large body roll during quick maneuvers.

Around the back, Roush’s dual exhaust with accented tips gives the truck a pleasant, low note which I find very pleasing, especially when I put the pedal down hard.

Open the doors and you’ll see an interior that’s second to none with items you just don’t find in most pickups. Custom Jack Roush leather seating sporting Jack’s embroidered signature, brushed aluminum trim kit, Roush Performance floor mats and custom Roush billet aluminum pedals. Combined with the FX4’s already nice interior it gives a ride of luxury. This ain’t your Grandpa’s cowboy Cadillac!
