With each passing generation, Ford's F-Series Super Duty pickups get better and better, with ever-increasing towing and power figures. The Super Duty received some revisions for the 2020 model year, and by all accounts, they're very much welcome, even if none of them are what one might call revolutionary. Thus, we thought it would be prudent to go over all the things that we like, as well as the very tiny details we don't, about the latest Super Duty.

Ford somewhat shocked the world when it announced that it was going to offer a brand new 7.3-liter gas V8 in the 2020 Super Duty. And we mean that in a good way. The awesome, torquey motor is a great diesel alternative for those who need to occasionally haul heavy loads but don't want to spend the extra cash for an oil burner. And it serves that purpose very, very well.

Speaking of diesel, the 2020 Super Duty has a pretty awesome one in the latest version of Ford's 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8. With 475 horsepower and a staggering 1,050 pound-feet of torque on tap, there really isn't much this motor can't pull. Except maybe a house. Though we wouldn't bet against it, depending on how big the house is.

Pick a category that you can use to measure heavy-duty trucks against each other, and it's pretty likely the 2020 Super Duty will win it. That includes general categories like towing and hauling, along with more specialized stuff like gooseneck towing and dually payload ratings. Others will undoubtedly top these numbers eventually, but Ford will simply update its Super Duty once again to reclaim them.

The Tremor is Ford's way to offer a cool, off-road focused Super Duty with upgrades that many people install on their trucks as soon as they buy them anyway. And it just plain works. With progressive rate springs, a locking rear differential, front end lift, and beefier tires, the Tremor is a pretty enticing offering for new truck buyers.

Looks are subjective, of course, but we love the slightly revised styling of the 2020 Super Duty. Some may say that it hasn't changed enough, but when you look at those polarizing new heavy-duty offerings from Chevy, it makes us happy that Ford didn't try to do anything crazy here or attempt to reinvent the wheel.

Dislikes: Price and Efficiency

Nobody buys heavy-duty trucks for their fuel mileage, and that's a good thing because running a 2020 Super Duty can get pretty expensive, especially if you tow a lot. And of course, they're rather expensive these days, with most examples selling for between $60,000 and $80,000. But you certainly get a lot for your money. And as usual, you'd be hard-pressed to find a heavy-duty pickup that's as good all-round as the 2020 Super Duty, no matter what the price.
