These 6 Ford Models Took Home CPO Awards For 2024

Over the past few years, certified pre-owned vehicles have become increasingly popular for a very good reason - it's been nearly impossible to find new vehicles at all, and CPO models are essentially the next best thing. In that regard, Ford has quite a few fantastic CPO offerings out there to choose from, as it recently racked up six individual awards as part of Vincentric's 2024 Best CPO Value in America Awards, which are based on a cost of ownership analysis covering eight different categories - depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.

Ford Expedition

First up, we have the Ford Expedition, which took home top honors in the large SUV category. It managed to beat out seven competitors for a variety of factors, including its ownership costs that were 4.9 percent below expected levels, all while offering up the best fuel economy, lowest operating costs, and lowest maintenance costs in its class.

Lincoln Navigator

The Expedition's platform-mate - the Lincoln Navigator - also managed to earn a win in the large luxury SUV segment, outperforming nine competitors by offering CPO customers the lowest repair costs in its class, as well as ownership costs that were 2.8 percent below expected levels.

Ford Maverick Hybrid

In the small and mid-size pickup segment, the Ford Maverick earned top honors as well, beating seven competitors in the process. It achieved that with expected ownership costs that were 10,9 percent below expected levels, all while offering customers the best fuel economy, lowest operating costs, and the lowest total cost of ownership in its class.

Ford F-150 Lightning

For those looking to make the switch to an EV, the Ford F-150 Lightning makes for a solid choice in the CPO market after winning the full-size half-ton pickup segment in Vincentric's latest round of awards. It achieved that with expected ownership costs that were 13.8 percent lower than expected, the best efficiency in its class, along with the lowest operating and maintenance costs.

Ford Transit Connect

Turning to the van market, the Ford Transit Connect won both the small commercial passenger and cargo van segments with expected operating costs that were 1.9 and 1.8 percent below expected levels, respectively, plus the best fuel economy, lowest operating costs, and lowest maintenance costs in their respective classes.

Ford E-Transit

Finally, we have yet another EV - the Ford E-Transit - which took home a win in the large cargo van segment. The E-Transit achieved that mark thanks to ownership costs that were 14.7 percent lower than expected, along with the best fuel efficiency and lowest operating/total cost of ownership in the segment, too.
