1. With CPO You Know What You're Getting

There are several obvious reasons for buying a Ford CPO vehicle. Generally, CPO trucks are in better shape than used non-CPO counterparts, and also present significant savings over a new vehicle, yet have fewer miles than your average used truck. They're backed by the manufacturer for the balance of the factory new warranty, plus they typically have special CPO-only coverage. Before they can be a CPO truck, they've undergone a 172 point inspection at the dealership, so you can have a little more confidence in them versus a private purchase.

These are all valid reasons for going CPO, but there are some other perks you might not be aware of!

2. 24-Hour Roadside Assistance

If you're an FTE fanatic, you probably know how to change a tire. But even if you can't (or don't want to), you won't have to with a CPO Ford truck. 24-hour roadside assistance is included with each sale, free of charge. So if you get a flat or need a jump, simply give them a call. They'll even deliver up to 2 gallons of fuel if you run out, and cover you for up to $50 if you lock yourself out of your truck.

You'll also get towing assistance of up to $100 in the event your truck won't move, regardless of whether the problem falls under warranty or not. If your truck breaks down more than 100 miles from your home, Ford will reimburse your travel expenses up to $500, cover up to three days lodging, and provide a rental vehicle. You'll get destination expense reimbursement up to $75 if you need emergency transportation to an immediate destination. If you need a rental car, you're covered for up to 5 days at $30 per day.

3. Free Service Trials

It might not seem like a huge deal, but all CPO Ford trucks come with three free months of SiriusXM satellite radio. And you don't just get the cheap package, either. You get the All-Access package, which includes every channel, and even SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link if your truck has factory GPS navigation. It's a value of close to $70 over the 3-month span, which isn't too shabby for a free throw in.

4. Available Financing

Pretty much every automaker is offering some enticing financing deals to customers, and Ford is no exception. All Ford CPO vehicles are eligible for a 4.49% APR for 60 months, which is close to typical new truck rates. Even if you aren't ready to buy right now, some sort of deal is offered pretty much year round.

5. Extra Warranty Coverage

Generally, when you buy a used truck, you buy it as is, or if it is from a dealer, you might get 90 days coverage. But that's not the case with CPO Ford trucks. Part of the CPO program is several types of limited warranty coverage. Over 1,000 different components are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles, including the engine and transmission. The drivetrain also receives limited coverage for 7 years or 100,000 miles from the original new purchase date, and that coverage is even transferable in the event you sell the truck.
