Pay the Cost

If you've been perusing the market for an old Bronco lately, you've likely already experienced a case of serious sticker shock. And we hate to tell you, but this gorgeous green '73 we spotted at Hemmings won't help with that little problem. But at least in this case, you are getting one heck of a nice vehicle for your large outlay of cash.

All-Rounder

But that shouldn't come as a surprise when you learn that renowned Bronco builders Maxlinder Brothers Customs are the masterminds behind this particular ride. That also explains its retro style that works in harmony with a host of modern components, which makes this Bronco a perfect all-rounder in our book.

New Underneath

The body and paintwork on this Norway Green and Wimbledon White beauty are of course perfect and somewhat original looking. But underneath, you'll find a brand new mandrel-bent custom frame from Throttle Down Kustoms. The Bronco sits higher on a 2.5" lift kit, and sports a rebuilt Dana 44 diff up front and a 9" Ford in the rear.

Notable Changes

Other notable drivetrain components include custom Tom Wood's CV jointed drive shafts, 31 spline axles, a Grizzly Locker, disc brakes, a quick 3:1 ratio power steering kit, and Bilstein shocks. The exterior features all new stainless trim, chrome, and LED lighting that replaces all of the factory pieces, inside and out.

Attractive Mix

Maxlinder's '73 is no less amazing inside, where you'll find an equally attractive mix of new and old. The eight-point roll cage encloses Procar houndstooth seats with shoulder harnesses, Classic Instruments 6-gauge instrumentation, and an authentic-looking RetroSound Huntington in-dash Bluetooth stereo. A BC Bronco's soft top and new glass all around round out this extra nice package.

Powerful Combo

That theme continues to the engine and transmission combo. Powering this Bronco is a stroked Blueprint 347 cubic-inch Ford V8 crate motor producing 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. A Holley Sniper fuel injection system ensures consistent performance, while a 5-speed manual NV4500 transmission allows you to bang through the gears.

Value, not Price

Obviously, snagging a Bronco this nice is never a cheap endeavor. But we feel like the $105k asking price is pretty reasonable considering the amount and quality of the work that went into this particular build. As they say, sometimes, you get what you pay for. And in this case, that's certainly a lot.
