F-150 Raptor vs Tremor: How are They Different?
Which one is right for you?
Same but Different
Off-road fans have many cool models to choose from these days, and Ford continues to crank out even more. The latest are based on the all-new 2021 F-150 - the third-gen Raptor and the brand new Tremor off-road package. The Raptor is the more hardcore off-roader, of course, but each of these trucks brings something different to the table, and thus, we thought it would be helpful to break down what makes each unique.

Variety of Configurations
The Tremor Off-Road Package is exclusively available in SuperCrew configuration with a 5.5-foot box, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, and standard four-wheel drive. It's available in standard, mid, and high equipment groups, however, so buyers can choose their level of desired luxury.

Beefed Up
Meanwhile, the F-150 Raptor also comes exclusively in SuperCrew configuration with four-wheel-drive, a 5.5-foot bed, and the high output version of Ford's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, the Raptor sports its own unique five-link rear suspension, along with other goodies including Fox Live Valve internal bypass shocks, a Panhard rod, and 24-inch coil springs.

Retuned and Ready
Meanwhile, the Tremor features retuned front and rear springs for added ground clearance and better off-road performance. The front hub knuckles and upper control arms have also been revised, while Tremor-specific monotube shocks at the front and twin-tube shocks at the rear are tuned for softer damping at low speeds, with additional damping and control for more demanding off-road events.

Drivetrain Enhancements
The Raptor is available with either 35-inch or 37-inch specially designed BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, as well as drivetrain enhancements including a torque-on-demand transfer case, a standard electronic locking rear differential, and an optional Torsen front limited-slip differential fitted with 4:10 gears.

Similar Features
Meanwhile, the Tremor features 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires mounted on unique matte-finish 18-inch wheels, a front bash plate, a locking rear differential, an optional Torsen limited-slip front differential, and a torque-on-demand transfer case for high-series trucks similar to the one present in the Raptor.

Matter of Money
Taking a closer look at the equipment on both of these models, it's clear that the Raptor is the superior off-roader, but the Tremor is no slouch, either. The other consideration is the price - while the Raptor comes with a number of advantages over the Tremor, it starts out at $64,145, while the cheapest Tremor will only set you back $49,505.
