Custom 1956 Ford COE Is One Slick Build
This 1956 Ford COE is a slick build that wowed at the 2023 SEMA Show.
Cab Over Excellence
COEs - or cab-overs, as they're otherwise known - have long been popular targets among the hot rod crowd, as they make a great base for custom builds. COEs are also great for hauling things like motorcycles or other automobiles, and as we all well know, there's nothing cooler than seeing one at a car show doing precisely that. Thus, we couldn't help but fall for this gorgeous 1956 Ford COE that Soloman Lunger of the Ford Era YouTube channel recently spotted at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Flawless Build
This particular 1956 Ford COE is owned by a fellow named Muniz from Mexico, and it's a truly top-notch build in every conceivable area. After giving us a peek at the stellar engine bay, Muniz goes on to show us the hauler's gorgeous body, which is arrow-straight and covered in shiny black paint.
Perfect Combination
Thanks to an air suspension, this COE can sit right on top of its massive 24-inch tires for the show, and then raise up a bit to clear speed bumps and potholes when it's out on the road. The modern bits and pieces here mesh perfectly with the old curvy sheet metal, making for one great combination, to boot.
Modern Amenities
Peek inside the cabin, and you'll find more of the same - a sea of red, in this case, which covers the entire interior. This vintage COE is also fitted with lots of modern goodies such as its sound system, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and HVAC system.
Dually Conversion
Out back, Muniz converted this vintage hauler into a proper dually, which makes it even cooler to look at, as well as more capable of hauling heavy loads. On this particular day, it's doing precisely that, with a cool custom motorcycle sitting in the bed, to boot.
True Classic
Overall, this COE is a perfect example of why these trucks have remained so popular over the years. They're not only some of the coolest-looking vehicles out there, but they also make fantastic haulers that are guaranteed to attract attention at any car show - even one as expansive as SEMA, in this case.
