Coyote-Swapped 1973 Bronco Is the Perfect Restomod
A Coyote swap is just one component of what makes this 1973 Ford Bronco special.
Special Machine
Coyote swaps are all the rage these days, helping people breathe new life into vintage vehicles. There's just something magical about giving an old Blue Oval pickup or SUV modern power, but in the case of this masterful 1973 Ford Bronco built by the folks at Rocky Roads, its Coyote powerplant is just one component of what makes it so special.

Perfected Body
Rocky Roads gave this particular first-generation Bronco its Legend Class treatment, which is quite comprehensive in scope. On the outside, the California-based shop removed all the rust from this particular SUV and then spent a ton of time getting it as straight as an arrow before laying down Avalanche Gray PPG paint.

Upscale Interior
The same goes for the interior, which has been treated to a complete Amber Glow Vintage Distressed Diamond-Stitched double-stitch (Ball Glove) leather makeover that covers everything from the seats to the steering wheel. Even the shifter boot cover and roll cage are covered in luxurious material, giving the interior a truly upscale look.

Pumping the Jams
There are plenty of other notable features present inside the cabin, including aircraft sun visors, a restored electric wiper system, and a modern sound system comprised of a Kenwood head unit, a Focal five-channel amplifier, eight 6.5" Focal component speakers, and a RR Woofer underneath the rear seat.

Suspension Upgrades
As one might imagine, suspension modifications are plentiful as well and include Rocky Road's Legend 12-inch coil-over upgrade with a Hellwig front sway bar and custom-built rear anti-sway bars, Currie Fabricated Ford 9" front and rear axles, and a Hydratech Hydro-Boost hydraulic power brake system with Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes.

Modern Powertrain
Pop the hood, and you'll find a second-gen 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that's rated to produce 420 horsepower in stock form, but of course, it can also be easily upgraded to churn out far more. That power flows to the wheels via a 4R70W four-speed automatic transmission and an Atlas 2 3.0 ratio two-speed shift-on-the-fly transfer case, along with Spicer drive shafts and u-joints.

Big Money
The end result is a truly stunning machine, though as one might imagine, not a cheap one. The asking price for this beautiful Bronco is a "mere" $235,000, though that certainly isn't out of the question when we compare it to similar, quality restomods changing hands these days.
