Coyote Swapped 1969 Ford F-100 Hauls Tail, Not Hay
Modern mechanicals and classic lines is the perfect combination.
Enticing Combination
From the very beginning, trucks were designed for one purpose in particular - to haul and tow things. That has changed dramatically in recent years, of course, as people use trucks for everything these days, whether that be hauling hay or the family to dinner. Even more interestingly, we have performance-focused builds like this amazing 1969 Ford F-100 up for grabs at Autohunter, which combines modern mechanicals with classic lines for one enticing combination.

Smooth Ride
This classic hot-rodded F-100 was built by the folks at Lucky 7 Speed Shop to serve as the grand prize in a 2018 Goodguys giveaway, and it certainly looks the part thanks to a host of exterior modifications including a body that's been completely smoothed out, and treated to PPG Toner Red paint with matte black trim, well as a set of 18-inch U.S. Mags wheels wrapped in Nitto tires.

Custom Work
Other notable details include filled factory panel seams, LED headlights, a modified and smoothed-out body-colored front bumper, a modified hood with a matte black accent panel, a custom tonneau cover, a shaved cab-mounted fuel filler, rear spoiler, a custom-fabricated raised bed floor, tailgate panel, and exhaust that exits through the rear/side portion of the bed.

Refreshed Cabin
As one might imagine, the interior is equally trick, adorned with black leather TMI reclining bucket seats with red stitching, power windows, a Kicker KMC2 digital stereo, a Hurst shifter, a Flaming River tilt steering column, Dakota Digital gauges, and a black aluminum Flashpower steering wheel.

Modern Power
Power for this classic rig comes from Ford's naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8, which in this case was sourced from Roush Performance and sends its power to the rear wheels via a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch. The engine bay is its own work of art as well, thanks to smoothed-out panels and an abundance of aluminum goodies.

Custom Chassis
Peek underneath this vintage pickup, and you'll find a brand new custom chassis from Scott's Hotrods 'n Customs that's been fitted with an independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, a Watts link, JRi adjustable hydraulic coilovers, a solid Moser nine-inch rear end, and 14-inch Wilwood disc brakes with six-piston calipers.

Versatile Machine
Add it all up, and you've got one seriously smooth, seriously cool build that can quite literally do it all - cruise down the strip in style, go fast in a straight line, carve corners, and take us on comfy road trips. Throw in the fact that it was featured on the cover of the Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette, and this particular classic pickup sure has plenty to offer its new owner.
