Classy 1939 Ford Pickup Touts Its Harley-Davidson Ties
Ford and Harley-Davidson have long enjoyed a cozy relationship, motivating the owner of this 1939 pickup to combine the best of both worlds.
One of a Kind
Ford and Harley-Davidson have long enjoyed a cozy relationship as two of America's most iconic manufacturers. And the two have paired up on more than one occasion to produce H-D themed Ford trucks. But they never made one quite like this 1939 pickup we spotted over at Bring a Trailer.

Obvious Intentions
But that much becomes quite obvious when you take a casual glance at this classic Ford truck. Finished in traditional orange and black Harley colors, there's no mistaking the motivation here.

Vintage Cues
The overall theme, aside from those H-D colors, is pretty much just classic Ford truck. One very cool and interesting styling cue lies in the bed, where you'll find wood slats repurposed from a vintage semi-trailer.

Clear Reference
And in case you don't get the color reference, the previous owner also placed a large bar and shield sticker in the back window. Personally, we can't think of a cooler way to tow a Harley than with this beauty.

Modern Upgrades
If you look close enough, you will find a few modern updates on the exterior of this old Ford, however. Things like headlight housings modified to fit LED turn signals, as well as driving lights fitted to the front bumper.

Old School Choice
The wheel choice is purely old school, though. The Wide Five steelies are painted black to match the truck, then fitted with chrome trim rings and dog dish hub caps. And they're all wrapped in Dunlop SP Qualifier steel-belted tires.

Simple and Rugged
The inside of this '39 Ford is equally simple and quite rugged thanks to the marine vinyl that covers the bench seat, door and side panels, and headliner. On the floor, you'll find equally durable gray industrial carpeting.

All Dressed Up
Under the hood, you'll find a 221 cubic-inch Flathead V8 dressed up with various copper plated parts. The beautiful mill is backed up by a three-speed manual transmission and features a host of performance upgrades.
