Are these the coolest classic Ford trucks of all time? We sure think so.

1. 1967-1977.5 F-250 "Highboy"

"Highboy" isn't exactly an official Ford term, but it does represent a truck that receives a tremendous amount of love from enthusiasts. So what, other than the model year and four wheel drive, makes a highboy? A divorced transfer case, three driveshafts, a noticeable arch in the front spring pack, and 2 1/4" wide rear springs are all indications that you've got one. Highboys sat higher than similar trucks from the competition at the time, and Ford switched leaf springs for the 1977.5 model that dropped them four inches. Today, highboys have become collectible and highly sought after because of their durability, stance, and cool factor.

2. 1971-1975 Baja Bronco

Pretty much any classic Bronco can be considered cool, but the rare Baja Bronco, produced between 1971 and 1975, was something extra special. The limited edition truck came about as a collaborative effort between Ford and legendary racer Bill Stroppe. All of the 400-650 Baja Broncos produced were painted to match Stroppe's race trucks, and featured rear fender flares and larger rolling stock. Buyers could also opt for a number of additional goodies such as a roll cage, winch, suspension upgrades, and off road lighting.

3. 1978-1979 Bronco

With the exception of the original first gen model, no Bronco receives as much love from enthusiasts as the full size 1978-1979 second gen Broncos. Ford's move to the F-150 chassis was in response to the full size Chevy Blazer and Dodge Ramcharger, but its awesomeness was sadly short lived. When Ford changed the exterior design and updated the chassis in 1980, things were never quite the same.

4. 1953-1956 F-100

Has there ever been a truck, regardless of year or brand, that looks as good as the second generation F-100? And not only are they arguably the best looking trucks ever produced, the '53-'56 Fords are also probably the most popular and most commonly modified classic pickup truck of all time, too. Rarely has there ever been a vehicle that looks every bit as good stock as it does hot rodded, rat rodded, pro streeted, or done up in any other style.

5. 1973-1979 F-100/F-150/F-250

It might not seem fair to include an entire (6th) generation of Ford trucks in our list, but these model years represent easily the most beloved trucks of our entire fanbase. For most, 1973-1979 represents the pinnacle for Ford trucks, not only in design, but in durability as well. Whether you love the '73-'77 "dentside" trucks or the later, updated design of the '78-'79, you'll have a hard time finder a cooler truck than a 6th gen Ford F-Series.
