Key Dates

The Ford Bronco is undoubtedly the hottest vehicle on the planet right now, with nearly 200,000 people holding a reservation and obviously eager to know when they'll be able to actually buy one. Now, we know some key dates that buyers will certainly be interested in, and they come to us courtesy of Ford Authority.

Order Books

Order banks for the 2021 Bronco are set to open up on December 7, 2020. At that time, reservation holders will be able to begin converting those reservations into actual orders with the dealer they chose during that process and fine-tune their selections in terms of trim level, options, and accessories.

Production

Production is currently slated to begin on March 22, 2021, at the Michigan Assembly Plant, where the Ford Ranger is also produced. Ford has previously stated that deliveries would begin in June, but these dates are obviously subject to change based on a variety of factors.

On Track

Regardless, it appears that the Bronco remains on track for a Spring of 2021 launch, which is what Ford has been saying for months now. So we'll keep our fingers crossed that no issues with production or external influence pop up that cause any delays in the process.

Little Brother

Meanwhile, the Bronco's little brother - the Bronco Sport - entered production at the Hermosillo Assembly Plant back on October 26. That model is on track for deliveries to begin before the end of 2020, so we'll be seeing them on the road very soon.

Lofty Expectations

Ford has big plans for both the Bronco and Bronco Sport, with lofty sales expectations that exceed 200,000 units per year. And as of right now, it certainly looks like they'll easily hit that target in 2021, so long as they can produce enough vehicles to somewhat meet the incredible demand they're facing.

Long Wait

Meanwhile, we're just happy to see the Bronco come back after a quarter-century absence. Fans have been pining for a new Bronco since it went away in the mid-1990s, and now that day has almost finally arrived.
