Add Serious Power and Torque to Your Ranger in a Flash
New Ford Performance tune gives your Ranger a big boost in mere minutes.
Easy Power
Everyone wants a little more power in their vehicles, and there are a million ways to accomplish that goal. But most of them come from the aftermarket. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but aftermarket performance upgrades generally void your warranty or at least raise the potential that you might. But if you're a Ranger fan, you're in luck, because Ford Performance has a quick and easy new way to gain serious power without messing up your warranty.

Several Benefits
Ford calls this upgrade a performance calibration, but we know it as a good old fashioned tune. And there are a few benefits to buying one from a manufacturer instead of going with an aftermarket tuner or local shop. For starters, Ford develops its calibrations using many hours of dyno time and actual real-world driving. And the result is a safe tune that also delivers real results.

Optimized Settings
The M-9603-REB calibration, which works on 2019-2020 Rangers, provides a 45 hp gain at 4,500 rpm, as well as a 60 lb-ft of torque gain at 2,500 rpm. The tune for the Ranger's 2.3-liter EcoBoost is also designed to improve the throttle response, offering better driveability, and there's even an optimized shift schedule for the 10-speed automatic transmission that provides crisper, more precise shifts.

Easy Install
Even better, installation is a snap. The calibration is installed using Ford Performance's Pro Cal 4 tool, a voucher to register, and a performance air filter. Then, you download the Pro Cal 4 software to your computer and connect the tool with the provided USB cable. The Pro Cal 4 tool will automatically update. Then, simply connect it to the OBD 2 port located under the driver’s side dash and let it work its magic.

More Features
Like most tuners, the Pro Cal 4 stores the stock file, allows real-time monitoring of engine parameters, reads and clears DTCs, does real-time data logging, and can configure tire size changes within certain parameters. It features a high-resolution touch screen and an intuitive graphical interface. The tool has a rubberized protective case and even comes with a suction cup to mount to the corner of your windshield so you can take it everywhere you go.

Fully Covered
But perhaps the best thing about Ford Performance's Ranger calibration is that it's 50-state emissions legal and comes with its own 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty. If the calibration causes a problem with your Ranger within that time period, Ford will pay to fix it. And if the issue isn't caused by the calibration, your existing vehicle warranty will apply.

Enticing Offering
All of this makes the Ranger calibration a pretty enticing offering for owners who want to squeeze more power out of their rides without compromising their truck's warranty. And after spending big money on your shiny new truck, that's obviously a big selling point here.
