Baby VelociRaptor

If you know Hennessey, you know they don't mess around with their performance mods.  You may recognize the VelociRaptor name from the super-tuned F-150 that swapped its EcoBoost V6 for Ford's 5.0-liter V8 using a 2.9-liter supercharger, producing a whopping 758 horsepower!  With the 2019 Ford Ranger making its way onto American roads, Hennessey is already set to provide it the same VelociRaptor treatment.  Find out what Hennessey has in store for the VelociRaptor Ranger...

Super Boost

While VelociRaptor Ranger doesn't get an engine swap like its F-150 cousin, the Hennessey performance enhancements to the stock 2.3-liter EcoBoost motor are sure to motivate the midsize pickup to a level liken to the Focus RS.

Specs

Hennessey's performance touch boosts Ranger's stock power from 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque to 360 bhp and 440 lb-ft of torque.  The VelociRaptor Ranger lowers 0-60 performance to just 4.9 seconds, an over 2-second improvement over the stock Ranger!

The Mods

According to Hennessey, the VelociRaptor Ranger gets better air flow through a less restrictive and better sounding stainless steel Catback exhaust system and ECU tuning for increased boost.

Off-road

With its increased power and acceleration comes increased off-road capability.  HPE upgraded the VelociRaptor Ranger with their Stage 1 off-road suspension upgrade, lifting the pickups ride height four inches. VelociRaptor Ranger also gets Hennessey 18-inch alloy wheels and upgraded BFG Mud Terrain TA KM2 tires, adding another two inches to the pickups overall height, making the Hennessey VelociRaptor Ranger nearly six inches taller than the stock Ranger.  VelociRaptor Ranger also comes with an upgraded front bumper with LED lights and optional winch.

Inside

A jet-black interior washes over the inside of VelociRaptor Ranger including leather seats with white stitching and embroidered Hennessey logo on the headrest.  Each of the 500 units being produced will also feature a plate tag inside and under the hood with the vehicles serial number as well as a message that it was built right here in the U.S.A.

The Bottomline

So, how much will the VelociRaptor Ranger run you?  Hennessey says the price for its 2019 VelociRaptor Ranger upgrade is $64,950, which includes the cost of a new 2019 Ford Ranger; the cost for the Hennessey upgrades alone is $19,950 plus vehicle shipping.  Hennesey notes each unit comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.  If you've ever wanted the Velociraptor F-150, but on a smaller scale, nows your chance to snag one of the 500 units being produced.
