The World of Bronco

There's no shortage of classic Bronco restomods and replicas these days. The popularity of these legendary machines is at an all-time high, and still on the rise. Companies like ICON 4x4, Velocity Restorations, and Maxlinder Brothers have all come up with some unbelievable creations. But that doesn't mean there's no more room in the world for a more modest classic Bronco restomod like this matte grey monster we found on Bring a Trailer.

Modernized

A notch below the level of craftsmanship that we've come to expect from the aforementioned restomod Bronco experts, this 1975 model has been treated to a full cosmetic and mechanical frame-off redo to turn it into a capable vehicle with the iconic looks of the Bronco and modernized performance.

Ford V8

Under the hood of this lifted Bronco sits a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 motor that is reportedly capable of producing 400 horsepower. The black intake manifold also displays a Bronco badge for good measure. The big motor is hooked up to a C4 automatic transmission to put those ponies to all four wheels.

Underside

The 3-inch lift kit combined with the 33-inch off-road tires gives this 1975 example a nice and proud stance, as well as providing for some off-roading opportunities. Wilwood disc brakes can be found on all four corners as well to bring this big boy to a stop.

Interior

Looking inside, you will find a fully updated interior as well. The bucket seats in the front, as well as the bench seat in the rear,  are reupholstered in black vinyl. Other upgraded equipment includes a new 3-spoke steering wheel, a CD player/stereo, as well as Vintage Air A/C.

Brutally Stylish

And cosmetically, this Bronco has been treated to a full repaint and now has a satin grey finish. The black 17-inch wheels add to the menacing look of this rugged machine. Another subtle but effective touch, the custom rear bumper has an integrated spare wheel carrier as well.

The Perfect Toy?

This modified 1975 Ford Bronco also features a removable hard-top painted in the same dark satin grey as the rest of the exterior. This 26K-mile truck sold recently for $65,000. All in all, this might be a happy medium between super-expensive restomods such as the ICON BR and a stock first generation Bronco. It might not be flawlessly crafted, or perfectly preserved, but it gets the job done and gets it done in style.
