Shift lever blinking and trouble shifting 01 Excursion 5.4 4wd
My toy has been for too long due to transmission problems. I am getting codes 0743, 1747, and 0755. The transmission has to be shifted manually and will not go above 3rd gear, reverse is working. The previous owner did say that he replaced the solenoid pack and I would guess from AutoZone or similar. The truck has 116k on the odo and was running and shifting great until the light started flashing on the shift lever.

First, focus on P0743 and P1747. Those are both electrical circuit codes. I'll bet there is damage to the wiring harness to the transmission. Either that or two solenoids failed at the same time. That's not likely.
