First, sorry to beat a dead horse but I’ve been searching for a couple hours.
I need a good rubber floor mat. Cab is a 2 wheel drive column shift automatic 1979.
some say 8” transmission hump. Where do I measure from?
looking for all advice.
thank you

I'm fairly certain ... that the 8" refers to the total height of the hump from the foot well portion where your feet sit. Are you looking for a throw mat like to protect carpet ... or are you looking for fixed in place molded floor covering like is normally carpeted?
Does the one your looking at give you a choice?

Reminds me .... I have one of those over the hump types I bought like 30 odd years ago, my idea then was to just cut a hole for the TC lever, but I never did as I just picked up two big single ones. I guess I'll likely just cut the hump out of it and use the remains as 2 single ones if & when I use it? The one piece ones would keep the two sides from migrating towards the door sills.
OH, OK. I see now, it does look like everyone says 8 inch or "high" hump, often mentioning C-6. Have you measured your hump height from bottom of foot well next to hump to top of hump?
I just put down an ACC vinyl mat that I purchased thru RockAuto. Overall it fits decent, some wrinkles. But I'm happy with it. My truck is a 75 f100 4x4 with the high hump. I would assume you would need the low hump, but don't take my word on it.
Here is a pic of how mine turned out. This was the same day I laid it, the wrinkles are some better now, but it definitely isn't like factory.

that’s what I’m talking about.
id say yours is taller than mine due to the standard transmission.
mine’s flat on top. Mine was/is a factory c6 2x4 cab it’s now a C6 4x4 cab.

Yes a full floor cover. The ones I’ve seen only offer ones for an 8” transmission hump.
