My brother ordered a 2026 Ford F350 King Ranch with the Godzilla engine,it has all the bells and whistles' you could ever ask for. He really likes the trucks ride and performance, the only complaint he has with it is the cruise control. If he takes a hand off the wheel to take a drink or if his hand gets dumb. The truck will flash at at him and start to slow down, is this the way it's supposed to work, this isn't in traffic, its on the Interstate across South Dakota and 2 lane black top. It's pissing him off so bad he's ready to trade it off, is there any settings in the infotainment that he can adjust?
It only yells if you take both hands off the wheel, and even then only after a short period. At least 1 hand has to maintain at minimum 1.5 lbs of pressure on the steering wheel.

There isn't any setting. The Super Duty does not have BlueCruise, which is hands-free driving. It has lane assist, which still requires a hand on the wheel.
Unless the 2026 is different it doesn't immediately flash and slow down. That begins on the 3rd or 4th notification to maintain a grip on the wheel. I haven't timed it, but to get that far I'd estimate it's 30 - 40 seconds without driver input to the steering wheel.
I turned off lane assist because my arms get tired fighting it on long trips. You can also put a water bottle on the steering wheel to give it the feed back it needs to not alarm.
Yeah, this strikes me as a case of someone who is conditioned to Tesla's FSD, and upset because the 5th gens don't have bluecruise/supercruise.
As someone who has only had conventional cruise and no lane assist for LONG LONG trips--prior to my 450; your brother sounds like he's soft.
p.s.
DRW is far more naggy about lane-keeping inputs than a SRW, and I still don't think it's even remotely a problem. Turn it off if you don't like the lane keeping.

Sounds like his issue is with the Lane Keeping System and not the Active Cruise Control.
My solution is to simply turn off the LKS when using ACC.
It’s not meant to be a self driving hands off system. Details are in the owners manual if he would like to learn how it works.
Posts like this encourage me to keep my 2021 . . . . .

This. It's not that hard. And it isn't a feature that would ever justify not trading up. Geolocation tracking and driving metadata, sure. But not lane-keeping assistance. Lord almighty.
The first part of this issue is with "Lane Centering" within the Adaptive Cruise settings. Turn off "Lane Centering" and it won't nag near as much. If it still nags too much for you, then, as others have said, turn of "Lane Keeping System" completely and the damn nagging goes away. I have been searching for two years within Forscan to find the area that controls this and haven't found it yet. It has always been annoying but with the last latest round of APIM, BdyCM and IPC updates, it has gotten much worse. I did a ton of updates to my rig with FDRS a few weeks ago and noticed it right away. God how I wish there were release notes that would come with module updates!

Wait, let me see if I'm understanding this correctly He has a truck, he has to drive the truck, and he's so pissed off. He wants to trade it off Am I getting this right?
