What Did You Do To Your 5th gen Super Duty? (2023+)
I’ve noticed on here that there are What Did You Do To Your (insert year) for the trucks vs What Did You Do To Your (generation ). I rolled with it because that is the way it was being done on this forum. I recently saw a discussion on why it was being broken down by year instead of by generation. It makes more sense to me to do it by generation. Someone suggested that if you want it by generation you should create a thread like that: no one is forcing you not to. So I decided to do just that and see how it works out.
I’ll start off with I removed the snow plow and Prius catchers from the front of my truck today. I’m not sure yet if I like the looks without a valence or not. If I don’t I’ll be getting a Tremor one.
I also removed the FX4 stickers from the sides of it as well as the leer badging from the campers window.
Love this thread already. Your valence looks empty now. I plan to paint mine (the tall one), so it doesn't stand out with unpainted fugly black plastic.
Stuff I've done in the 2 months I've had my F450 Limited (forgot to mention that I also did the Husky vent visors & a Dash Designs dashmat).
Vinyl overlay around headlights Black upper and lower mirror caps + black door handles Black taillight covers

I like the look of my oem 2wd replacement. I did not remove the p**** catchers and you really can’t see them.

When I removed my valence I could see a couple spots where I’ve already hit something with it. This last winter was a pretty dry winter. During a normal or good winter I’ll probably damage the valence pushing snow with it.

I was planning on going without a valence. Without one the Prius catchers could be seen. I may be putting on a tremor or 2wd valence if I don’t like it without a valence.

Yeah, I wish they were all in one thread, because someone with a '23 might do a mod that a guy with a '26 would love (or vice versa)....but would never know it unless they kept up with every thread for every year model.
When I had my 2018, I posted in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 threads....whichever one I came to first...because it didn't matter.

You might consider using the Tremor valence, and just bedlining/line-x/rhino-lining it.
Truck surprised me today. I saw the DPF drop from 85% to 0% while I was going to work. Still haven't towed anything with it yet, and I wasn't really above 1500 rpms for the trip. Not sure if the SCR kicked on for it. DEF indicates ~72% (might have been 80% before). DEF now shows 7k miles of range left.
I never changed the 4WD valance on my 2017, but for some reason on this 2024, it is more noticeable. Maybe it is the snow plow prep springs lifting the front end; I don't know...
I'm lazy and typically grab the Ford OEM stuff from Fairway Ford on eBay, but they don't seem to have the 2WD valance listed; other years, yeah, but not the 23+. Looks like I'll have to go to the Dealer.

I like this idea. I always wondered why each year was separate for the same trucks. I just looked, seems this falls on two guys. @kry226 for not adding a + to the end of his title or @brandon4 for starting a new 24 thread haha
Paint shop messed up some paint tint so I had a free 1/2 gallon of polyurethane that is a very light grey. Decided to give my truck bed some love and painted the inside of the cap and side walls of the bed. Covered really well with one coat. Redid the lights on the ceiling of the cap going from one row to two, although the one row was plenty bright, and painted the logo so you can see it now. I already had the windows painted for privacy reasons.
