7.3 Godzilla Alternators and lithium dc/dc charging...
I have a 2022 F350 Zilla that carries a 6000lb Host Cascade Truck Camper. I optioned the 397 Amp alternator / dual batteries. After some researching, the "secondary alternator" is a 157 amp alternator. I am going to be installing a Bluetti RV5 all in one lithium battery system into my camper. It has a dual 12vdc auxiliary where one leg can be used for solar charging and the other input for the DC/DC charging (or both can be from the alternator or generator). So my main question is this: Is there a direct swap out High Output alternator that is 250-300 amp that I can just swap the factory "secondary" 157 amp alternator out with? I am adding the max battery system I can fit in the camper...probably 3 of the Bluetti system 51.2volt 100 amp hour batteries and I want the max alternator charging I can fit under the hood....or...if anyone has a similar set up or uses the Victron setup..is that 397 total amp factory option sufficient for what you are doing or needing? I am looking for only the Godzilla / dc/dc lithium charging angles...so any type of RV or "other" lithium charging via the alternator experience is awesome....
- How much of your 300ah are you expecting to charge with the engine alternators? Like 40% or 10% or 100% or . . . ?
- How fast do you want to charge them? . . . as in "during a 1-hour drive? . . . or an 8-hour drive? . . . etc . . . ?
- How fast can they be charged safely?
