From what I understand, there are 50,000 orders on the books, so your question should be "how long will it take Ford to build 50,001 Mavericks?"
Given the worldwide supply situation, I doubt there is anyone who can forecast the delays that building 50,000 units of a brand new vehicle will experience. My guess is somewhere between 6 months and a year.
I certainly might be wrong, but getting a brand new vehicle line up to speed, with completely unpredictable parts and labor shortages, is gonna take a while. You could ask your dealer to see if they have any better news.
If the plant's capacity is, say 150k Mavericks per year, it would take 4 months in the best of circumstances to build 50k vehicles. 2020-2021 is really the worst of circumstances, and it will probably be 2024 before the auto market is anywhere like steady.
I might also point out that buying any first year vehicle can be a problem.
My dealer said dec/jan that i just ordered .. But they are not building it so who knows.. I did see one in the parking lot at work.. Looks nice in person..
Ordered in mid-July, build scheduled for early November, delivery ~3-4 weeks later.
I expect current placed orders will be 3-4 months out. I also expect production numbers to climb with familiarity. Production delays due to component shortages will change as the employment market varies. If workers are paid more to stay home, they will, and production(and the economy) will be hobbled.

Me either. I am looking to add this little guy to my garage to off set the F350 gas bill
I just want the plain XL with nothing added and the hybrid motor.
I will just have to see if there is anything on the lots. But it just a month is all the wait, I may just pull the trigger and buy
Invoice (xplan) is only $160 difference. Really only worth using the xplan if your dealer has a high DOC FEE (limited to $100 with xplan)
I just ordered one and was told hybrids might take up to a year and ecoboost about 6 months. Their information could well be imperfect but it seems plausible based on what we are hearing about the flood of orders and the supply issues.
Yeah that sounds about right for the hybrid but the eco boost are bout three months out.. I think ford is better prepared for the eco boost then the hybrid and thought there would be more demand for the eco boost. How it stands there is a 2/3 to 1/3 demand for hybrids to eco boost. Think ford thought it would be the other way around.
So if you want something before next summer eco boost should get you there.. Or just get a dealer stock which once they start shipping hybrids shouldn't be too hard since a lot of these orders either already went with an eco boost. Got tired of waiting and went somewhere else or just decided they didn't want to spend money on a car right now.. Almost a years wait changes how people think about things..
I ordered mine (Alto Blue/XLT/FX4/EB) on 8/9. Built on 10/18. Shipped on 10/20 and has finally made it to SC. It was unloaded from the railcar on Saturday... Dealer says either 2 days, or 2 weeks from there...

WHY would anyone be being paid to stay home at this date? Is Ford paying employees to stay at home due to pandemic ?? I've not heard that.
