I bought it used in 2012. I only have 56,000 miles on it. It does not have the upgrade with GPS, just the small screen with the radio, time etc. Now the stupid question. Is it wired for the GPS screen? In other words if I went to a salvage yard and bought that whole section would all the connectors be in my dash to do this? Thanks for any replys.
Just upgrade to a newer aftermarket setup and use your phone. You would need everything that touches that setup. Not necessarily plug and play.
From what I see across makes, your GPS will never be up to date no matter when you buy the updates.
I have a Ram with the UConnect 8.4. Looks cool with the turn-by-turn on the cluster, but many places I go don’t exist on the navigation and I can get a wild hair just to pay to still be two years behind.
ETA: It seems the last update for a 2012 came in 2019. That’s it from Ford.
