My neighbor sold his farm ... bought a trailer and spends the summers up here in VT and the winters in the south.
He has a 2014 F350 turbo diesel 4 door crew cab dually truck to pull it.
He says the body mounts are shot and wants me to order new ones for him (he is older and does not even have a computer).
So ... I thought I would go with poly ones. He said no! Too hard. He even knew someone who put them in one year and took them out the next.
I see silicon ones on ebay ... don't know if they will hold up?
So ... what do I need?
I have never done mounts on my truck ... I tried to look on Rock Auto ... only see a complete set if you go Poly. Does anyone make a full set (not poly)? I see things like pos 2, 3 and 4 ... how many positions are the? Are the mounts all different?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks .... Mike
I took a quick look ... seems like a lot of people are going with silicon ones?
Will they hold up or do I go with the stock rubber ones or ?????
I replaced mine with S&B silicone. Holding up well.
That's what I plan on doing on my 16 with 153k miles. I do not think mine are shot but since the factory mount bolts have blue lock tight on from the factory and care has to be taken when removing the bolts, I will do the mounts first and then grind off the blue lock tight off the new set of bolts as per the Flying Wrenches ex Ford Tech guy. When its time for the 50 gallon Tutan fuel tank, the S&B body mount that has to come out because Titan uses it with the new tank strap, I will be good to go.
