I'm looking for a radiator for the 1972 F250 2WD 390 and I see Cold Case radiators mentioned. I haven't checked them yet, I find one; the overall Core and Radiator dimensions that look good!
For the existing radiator (as close as I could reasonably measure)
Core Width 26 1/4 (Cold Frame really really close, could be my measurement is a little off)
Core Height 19 1/2 (Cold Frame, Spot on)
Overall Height 26 1/2 with cap (Cold Frame spot on)
Overall Width 29 1/2 (Cold Frame spot on)
Thickness about 3 1/2 to to 3 3/4 (Close Frame 3" - no worries)
All should be good but to since up I need the mounting bolt locations.

Do you think I could get any relevant information from them for what follows.
On the existing radiator the mounting flange is about 1 1/2" (grill side)
The flange engine side for the shroud is about 3/4"
The distance between the radiator mounting bolt width is 28 1/2"
The Height between the radiator mounting bolts is 11 inches
The distance between the shroud bolt width is 27 1/2"
The Height between the shroud bolts is 15 inches

Nope, they don't have a dimensional with that information and the fellow on the chat line couldn't answer the questions, in fact it was about the same as dealing with an overseas support line, except it wasn't overseas.

Summit Racing doesn't have a dimensional drawing for their radiators posted.

Why in the world would you not do that, You pay to have them manufactured, to make them that information is required!

 

I'm using one in my coyote swap. The mounting flanges align up perfectly with the radiator support. So it should not be a problem if it's listed to fit your truck. Mine being a engine swap, has a 1 1/2" flanges to match the ports on the coyote engine. Also these are rated for 700 hp so plenty of cooling capacity. Mine does not have the transmission cooling lines, have to use a external cooler if auto trans.

 

I emailed Cold Case and got a better result, while I didn't get the shroud bolt height, since only one measurement was given, all 3 of the other measurements, radiator bolt width and height and the shroud bolt width were all within 4mm of mine, well with in the error limits of my measurements.
Here's what was given to me.

"The shroud holes are 703 mm . The mounting holes are 727mm and 279mm apart."

That makes it worth taking the chance on. The thickness of the radiator is listed at 3" mine is somewhere between 3 1/2 to 3 3/4, nothing that I see that will create a problem, the worst case might be some new hoses which would not be a bad idea anyway.

You can't tell in the pictures but the mounting holes are slotted vertically. Gives you about 1/2" of vertical adjustment.
