We have picked up our first Ford truck and drove from Granger in IA to SoCal, venturing 9 beautiful states along the way in one beast of a truck!
Quick specs of the truck, 2026 Lariat Ultimate Tremor, 7.3 gas, in Marsh Gray on Baja interior. I had not seen Marsh Gray in person on F250 prior to picking mine up and I am definitely happy with my decision. I've seen the color on an Explorer but that's about it. I like how it's military brown/khaki in full sun and gray-ish brown in dark.
The 7.3 drove like a dream, silky smooth, plenty of passing power, nice grunt on startups. One thing I learned is when starting off, I need to be pretty firm on the brakes otherwise the truck lurches forward.
One major negative - I do absolutely hate the "intelligent" climate control, I'd much rather have the last settings be the settings. I know it's just 2 buttons (AC and air recir), but it's just stupid to always lean in to turn them off at every start.
Last but not least, HUGE thanks to the Granger team, Samantha/Amanda, and Shelby for making the whole ordering to pickup process a breeze and being so accommodating!
@fordtruckf250 very nice ride - I really like those muted/flat colors that manufacturers are coming out with. Thanks for posting pics - enjoy the ride!
Wow, beautiful truck!! I'm heading out to Granger next week, picking up a F-350 Lariat 7.3L CCLB DRW 4.30 from the same team you worked with, but only driving back 1000 miles. Really looking forward to it.
Wish you 1000s of miles of happiness!
