Arrow Installed leather wrap on my XLT steering wheel

Here's a product review for a custom leather wrap for the XL and XLT plastic steering wheel. I chose the leather color and types, selected the thread color, and added the centering stripe for fun. It took about a week to receive the kit.

Manufacturer: Texas Custom Interior - TexasCustomInterior(dot)com
Black leather top and bottom
Black perforated leather sides
Light gray threads
Light gray centering stripe

Installation took about 3 hours. The most difficult thing is ending the stitched sections with a knot. I also probably honked the horn 10 times by accident, haha. This style of wheel has 3 sections to stitch. The kit came with everything required, including trim tool, thread, needles, double-sided tape. Watch a few YouTube videos on installing similar covers and you'll understand it. Not difficult at all, just time consuming.

Yeah, looks great! Love your color choice for the center stripe. Nicely done!

It feels MUCH better than the cold plastic. It's soft and sort of padded feeling, the leather is thick. I'd absolutely do it again.

How much of a pita is it to install?

Worn wheels always make a truck feel old and junky. Protecting the wheel with a wrap seems wise.

I've done a couple like that over the years. Plan on sitting a while, but it's not hard to do. They always look fantastic.

That looks great. I always wondered if it would feel too thick, though.

There are several how-to vids on YouTube, but here's a good one doing a Ford truck install.

Thanks!
