Finally getting around to my cargo rail project. What have people done for the front posts? As you can see from the picture there is nothing that stops the PVC pipe from going all the way to the running board.
I don't want the rails resting on the top of the bed.

Most stake pockets have a stop plate built into them about 6" down or so. It seams like when I replaced the stake pockets on my 49 that the stop plates were a separate piece from the pocket itself
Not sure if it's a repo bed. Previous owner, who's now deceased, did the original restoration in 2007.
I did figure it out. Previous owner bondoed over two holes in the stake pockets where you should be able to put screws/bolts. Gonna drill those out and all will be good!
